WINERY MATHIER

The winery Adrian & Diego Mathier Nouveau Salquenen stands with its name for wines of the finest quality. Since 2001 Diego and Nadia Mathier have been running the successful and tradition-conscious family business. New ideas are very important to us! Combined with the more than 600 years old history of tradition of the Mathier family, innovative Valais wines full of passion are created.
The Mathier family was first mentioned in a document in Salgesch in 1387. More than 600 years of tradition and wine history connect us with the wine village. The stone for today's wine business was laid by our great-grandfather Ferdinand Mathier. As a vineyard inspector, he understood the importance of soil conditions, vineyard location and microclimate. Over time, about 45 hectares have come into the possession of the Mathier family.
