WINERY FUHRGASSL-HUBER

Fuhrgassl-Huber is Viennese wine as it should be. The family's wine tavern is a must on a planned visit to Vienna, as it seats almost 1,000 people and is also an accurate piece of Viennese wine history. The winery, a member of the six Vienna winegrowers, is run by Thomas Huber, grandson of founder Ernst Huber. The man in his mid-twenties does an excellent job, as various wine awards confirm time and again. On around 31 hectares (26 of which are in Neustift am Walde in Vienna's 19th district), the best wonderful wines are produced. The Wiener Gemischter Satz, the flagship wine of the city of Vienna and its winegrowers, is at the forefront of the range. Also at Fuhrgassl-Huber, of course. Grüner Veltliner is also a must. The range of varieties is complemented by Sauvignon Blanc, Traminer, Neuburger, Welschriesling, Roter Muskateller and many more.
