WINERY CLEMENS BUSCH

Together with his wife Rita, Clemens Busch has made the family winery one of the most distinguished in the entire Moselle region. Since he took over the management of the winery in the eighties, he has consistently implemented his convictions in terms of natural practices in the vineyard and cellar. This is the only way to achieve the ultimate expression of terroir.

The majority of the aging is done in the traditional Moselle Fuder barrels. These are oak barrels with a capacity of about 1000 liters. The long time on the lees gives the wines of Clemens Busch the necessary complexity and stability. The must from each individual vineyard is kept separately in order to be able to particularly emphasize the individual characteristics of each terroir, especially the best plots with the various slate soils.
