Although the malts from the Yoichi distillery are clearly Japanese, they have similarities with their Scottish brethren. Especially with the whiskies from Islay and Campbeltown. Although the distillery produces whiskies of various styles, it is primarily known for its complex, robust, oily and smoky malts.
