DOMAINE GUILLOT-BROUX


Emanuel and Patrice Guillot's grandparents founded the very first organic vineyard in Burgundy in 1954 - so the two brothers were born into organic farming. Their own vineyard, which they took over from their late father, has been certified organic since 1991 and the respectful treatment of their soil is just as important to the two brothers as "low intervention" in the cellar. The yields are quite low at 30 to 50 hectoliters per hectare, the grapes are harvested by hand and selected while still on the vines so that only very healthy grapes reach the cellar. Each terroir is vinified separately, with the methods best suited to the grape variety, soil, vintage and age of the vines. A great discovery in southern Burgundy!
