The Martelli family proudly calls this pasta 'Maccheroni di Toscana', because it is inspired by the traditional pasta formats of the region. The Martelli Maccheroni, which by the way has nothing to do with the German idea of a maccheroni, is especially good for hearty, heavy sauces and ragu. It is a short, fluted tubular pasta.
