CHATEAU TERTRE ROTEBEOUF
Chateau Tertre Roteboeuf is owned by Francois Mitjavile. Tertre Roteboeuf has long been a cult wine, and his son is continuing the tradition with equal success.
He is "only" a career changer: having worked in logistics for a long time, he moved to Paris at the end of the 1960s, where he met his future wife, Milute. She inherited Château Tertre Rôtebœuf in 1961, but initially had no interest in the estate. It was not until 1971 that they both moved to Bordeaux, Francois trained as a winemaker at Château Cheval Blanc and took over the previously leased estate in 1977.
He is an advocate of late harvesting, minimal yields and maximum care in the cellar. His respect for nature is omnipresent.
