VILLA TRASQUA WINERY

Between Siena and Monteriggioni is the historic estate of Villa Trasqua surrounded by 120 hectares of vineyards, olive groves and forests. The winery brings a very long winemaking tradition, traceable even to the year 1001. Franco Bernabei "Mr. Sangiovese" is the oenological consultant of the winery. With his enthusiasm for the Sangiovese grape variety, he led Villa Trasqua to new oenological heights. The three IGT wines are modern and accessible vintages, while the DOCG Chianti Classicos are clearly influenced by the Sangiovese grape and are characterized by a traditional Italian wine style. Since 2015, Villa Trasqua has exclusively used organic viticulture in order to preserve the environment and resources.
