CHATEAU MIRAVAL

It is located in the middle of Provence, somewhat inland about halfway between Marseille and Nice. Since 2012, it has belonged to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt along with its 500 hectares of vineyards, and since then, the renowned Perrin family of winemakers has also taken care of the wines. And it is precisely this combination of Hollywood glamor and wine expertise that has made Miraval Rosé one of the most famous wines of Provence.

As owners of the world-famous Château de Beaucastel in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, the Perrins bring inexhaustible experience aboard the Miraval project. They renewed and planted vines in favored sites on clay and chalk subsoil, established state-of-the-art technologies in the winery, and ensured excellence in every step of production.

Tasting note

Long before Brad Pitt acquired the castle, it was a celebrated jazz studio where greats such as Pink Floyd recorded their music. Today, the studio has been renovated and is being used again. This fresh rosé pays tribute to its impressive history, with a scent of peach and raspberries and a pleasantly melt-in-the-mouth texture that exudes the best vibes.

COMPOSITION OF THIS ROSÉ:
Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle, Tibouren

Rosé wine

Rosé wine (short: rosé) is a type of wine that gets its characteristic pink color from the contact of the red grape skins with the grape must during fermentation. Unlike red wines, however, the skins are left in contact with the must for only a limited time, giving rosé wine its light to intense pink color.

Rosé wine can be produced in several ways. The most common methods are direct pressing and the saignée method. In the direct pressing method, the grapes are lightly pressed to extract the juice without prolonged maceration with the skins. In the saignée method, part of the must is extracted from already vinified red wines and fermented separately as rosé wine.

Rosé wine is often served well chilled and is excellent as a summer wine or as an accompaniment to lighter dishes such as salads, seafood, grilled vegetables or light pasta dishes. Its vibrant color and pleasant taste make rosé wine a popular choice for connoisseurs looking for a fresh and fruity wine.
