WINERY SCHAUER

The SCHAUER winery is located in Kitzeck in southern Styria's Sausal, the highest wine-growing region in Austria. A traditional family business with outstanding vineyards, a sustainable philosophy and wines full of elegance and finesse.
Due to the region, Sauvignon Blanc sets the tone in the range of varieties. Riesling is also a particular specialty of the estate. This world-famous grape variety finds its own unique expression in the Sausal. The slate soils give the Riesling a distinctive minerality and coolness, accompanied by herbal and peach notes. The white Burgundy varieties Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Morillon (Chardonnay) also thrive excellently here.
Sustainability is at the forefront of both the business and the cultivation of the vineyards.
