WINERY PHILIPP GRASSL

Philipp Grassl's claim is authenticity, honesty and genuine quality; carrying on the tradition of the family business is his mission. Accordingly, Angelika and Philipp Grassl describe their earthy wines as honest, down-to-earth, timeless and distinctive. Powerful red wines account for 90% of the production of the clear assortment, with the main focus of the winery with its 24 hectares of vineyards being on the Zweigelt and St. Laurent varieties, at least 50% of which are also included in all cuveés. The Cabernet and Merlot grape varieties are mainly used to highlight the strengths of the Austrian varieties. The St. Laurent variety is a tradition and a speciality, because even if it is a great challenge, if treated with care, one produces great wines.
