WINERY WENINGER

The Weninger winery is one of Austria's top addresses when it comes to first-class red wine.
The farm in Horitschon stands on a typical Burgenland plot of land because it is elongated. The estate was completely rebuilt in 1998 and received several awards for contemporary architecture. The son, Franz Reinhard Weninger, took over the oenological and organizational management of the winery in Balf near Sopron back in 2000. Thus he continues a successful project of his father. Since 2011, he has also managed the winery in Mittelburgenland.
Today, the winery owns 28 hectares of vineyards around Horitschon, planted mainly with Blaufränkisch, Merlot, Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon vines, with another 22 hectares cultivated in Balf (Hungary).
