Pleasure in silence. Strength lies in tranquillity. Initially somewhat reserved, this wine demands consideration, air, patience and a large glass to reveal its true nature. Precisely defined, red berry fruit presents itself benevolently in a delicately woven tannin robe in harmony with a proper love of the earth. It reveals itself on the palate in silky layers and with a tense length, like a summery wrap-around dress. Initially aloof, but with a mischievous edge; floral and yet driven by dark fruit and pithy spice, the 2018 Pannobile has a lot of love to give. Its radiance and variety of aromas fill the glass like a free balloon. At the same time, the relaxed nature of its fundamental character is brought to life by a backbone of acidity and a delicate and stimulating bitterness. A well-balanced, yet determined type, full of straightforward honesty and in harmony with itself for pure joy.
