WINERY NITTNAUS

The Anita and Hans Nittnaus winery is an Austrian red wine institution. This reputation has been continuously earned since 1985 and is largely due to the family's efforts to get to know Burgenland even better with a passion for wine. The local grape varieties Blaufränkisch, St. Laurent and Zweigelt are thus given special attention, resulting in terroir-driven character wines from the vineyards around Lake Neusiedl and on the slopes of the Leitha Mountains. Since 1994, the essence of Nittnaus' wines has found allies in the Pannobile Group, which Hans co-founded. In addition to regional grape varieties, extreme yield reduction and well-accentuated ageing in wood characterize the wines from the Nittnaus estate. The winery has been cultivating its vineyards biodynamically since 2007.

Tasting note

Bright ruby red, fruity and spicy nose of cherries, lively on the palate with lots of fruit, beautifully balanced with a lingering finish. Poured at 15°, i.e. at a drinking temperature of 16 to 18°, it is a versatile accompaniment to home cooking, pasta and more. Also a universal, varietal table wine.
