WINERY FRISCHENGRUBER

For 150 years, the Frischengruber family has been pressing wine in the heart of the Wachau in Rossatz.
The Danube valley, which stretches between Melk and Krems and is flanked by the hills of the Waldviertel and the Dunkelsteinerwald, has long ago become home. Work is done with great respect for the environment and with nature. We cultivate 13 hectares of vineyards, of which the Kirnberg and Steiger vineyards are particularly noteworthy.
On the vineyards, the Veltliner and the Riesling, the Muskateller and the Pinot Blanc blossom wonderfully. The Frischengruber wines are also elegant and complex, finely fruity and top in comparison. Of course, there are not a lot of them: The wines grow in the Wachau - and there everything has its (natural) limits.

This Federspiel from humus-rich soils with gneiss proportions is always bottled first, already in February of the following year. For the local wine from Rossatz, the grapes are harvested by hand and fermented partly spontaneously, partly with pure yeasts.
