PERRIN FAMILY WINERY

The heart of the Perrin family's estate, dedicated to viticulture since 1909, is the nearly 100-hectare stately Château de Beaucastel, perched on a hill northeast of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and one of the most impressive estates in France. Perrin has been farmed according to the principles of biodynamic viticulture since 1964 (!) and is kept at an average vine age of 50 years by a sophisticated rotation system.

Due to the exclusive use of organic fertilizers, the winery was spared from many diseases. Today, a great many bees and birds, crickets and ladybugs live in Beaucastel.
Nature and traditional methods are the Perrin family's assets and this knowledge has been seamlessly passed down for 5 generations.

       Château de Beaucastel

Châteauneuf-du-Pape les Sinards is made from the young vines of Chateau de Beaucastel and from grapes from another vineyard. It is partially vinified with short maceration like the Beaucastel, the other part is fermented traditionally. It is aged for one year in large wooden barrels.

The terrific 2019 vintage now shows beautifully magical, the Chateauneuf Les Sinards is concentrated and balanced, showing an unusual power and dynamism, as well as an impressive length in the finish. Aromatically, red and black fruits, herbs and chocolate can be found. A really great Chateauneuf-du-Pape, also very attractively priced.
