WINERY BRÜNDLMAYER

The most important grape variety is and remains Grüner Veltliner. The spectrum ranges from light, refreshing regional wines to complex site wines characterized by terroir. Of course, Riesling is also of central importance.
In the vineyard, efforts are made to maintain a stable, ecological balance. Chemical fertilizers are rejected; instead, a green cover, mulch and compost economy is practised, also to promote soil life.

Delicate light pink, attractive bouquet of red fruits (cherry, wild strawberries) and flowers (violets), still underpinned by youthful yeasty notes; very fresh and lively on the palate, subtle fruit sweetness, juicy and balanced throughout with a moderate body, the great drinking pleasure is based on an elegant structure with a pleasantly floral and slightly spicy finish.

Zweigelt (Rotburger) is a cross between the Austrian grape varieties Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent. The family of the breeder Dr. Zweigelt also had a cellar and vineyards in Langenlois, which were later bought by the Bründlmayer family.
