WINERY CHRISTOPH BAUER

Christoph Bauer has been convincing with characteristic white and red wines for years. The fact that both are possible at a high level is due to the unique vineyards of the winemaking family: Jetzelsdorf near Haugsdorf offers very good sites and soils for white wines on the one hand, and warm basin sites on the other, where red varieties ripen optimally. Since 2015, he has been cultivating his vineyards organically.
Ripe grapes, in addition to gentle processing, are ultimately the basis for Christoph Bauer's wines: Grüner Veltliner is the most important white wine, Zweigelt is the winemaker's main red variety. His premium red wines, which have already won many awards, are Zweigelt Reserve, Pinot Noir and Cabernet-Merlot, which are aged in barriques.
