WINERY BASSERMANN-JORDAN

The Dr. von Bassermann-Jordan winery is a company with a long family tradition of over 300 years. Since 1718, generation after generation have worked with expertise and flair to perfect top Palatinate wines and have thus made it to the top of the world. Tradition and economic modernity have always been one and the same. In Deidesheim, precious wines are traditionally matured in wooden barrels in the centuries-old sandstone vaults. Bassermann-Jordan sparkling wine is also produced there in traditional bottle fermentation.
In the modern wine press and cellar, on the other hand, the wine is vinified at the highest technical level in a modern, fruit-driven style. Great importance is attached to a careful, natural fermentation without artificial additives.

The grapes for this top wine come from the oldest parcel of the Kieselberg, which is located west of Deidesheim on the slopes of the Haardt Mountains. The unique location with its loamy to loamy-sandy soils, interspersed with boulders and weathered limestone, gives the Riesling an impressive minerality and complexity.

The nose reveals fascinating aromas of pear, apple and fine notes of mirabelle plum. On the palate, the Kieselberg Riesling GG is juicy and elegant, with a fine acidity structure and a long, steely, precise finish.

This top Riesling is an ideal accompaniment to fine cuisine with white meat, fish and poultry in light sauces. It will develop additional complexity over the next 3-5 years due to its ageing and storage potential.
