Christoph Bauer has been impressing with characteristic white and red wines for years. The fact that both are possible at a high level is due to the winegrower family's unique vineyards: Jetzelsdorf near Haugsdorf offers very good locations and soils for white wines on the one hand, and warm basin locations on the other, where red varieties ripen optimally. He has been cultivating his vineyards organically since 2015.
In addition to careful processing, ripe grapes are ultimately the basis for Christoph Bauer's wines: Grüner Veltliner is the most important white wine, while Zweigelt is the winemaker's main red wine variety. His premium red wines, which have already won many awards, are Zweigelt Reserve, Pinot Noir and Cabernet-Merlot, which are matured in barriques.
