The Kerschbaum winery produces wines with perfection and responsibility. As pioneers in Blaufränkisch in Austria and ambassadors for the Mittelburgenland, they produce top wines typical of the terroir. Uncompromising quality and a passion for Blaufränkisch characterize the winery in Burgenland. The mild climate, plenty of sun and the special soil in Horitschon influence the taste of our wines, which are among the best red wines in Austria. We work the vineyards with the utmost respect and in harmony with nature. On our top sites in Mittelburgenland, red wine grape varieties such as Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt feel particularly at home. Perfection in all areas ensures wines with maturity & character.

This cuvée consists of 50% Cabernet Sauvignin and 50% Merlot. In the glass we see a beautiful, dark ruby garnet with violet reflections and a delicate brightening of the rim. On the nose, we encounter notes of blackberries and almonds as well as delicate tobacco notes. Juicy and elegant on the palate with ripe cherries. The tannins are present, yet well integrated. The firm texture is complemented by a fine acidity structure. The long finish presents itself with fine extract sweetness and pleasant woody notes on the finish.
